We hired Endowell to catalogue items left to our family after a relative passed. There was a lot — furniture, ceramics, some older jewellery pieces — and it had been sitting unrecorded for almost a year. James spent a full day at the property and was methodical and respectful throughout. The inventory was thorough. If I am honest, the provenance notes were the part none of us expected to find so valuable; some items had stories none of the younger family members had known.

The session was conducted partly in Thai and partly in English, which worked well given the family mix. The account we received captured her voice in a way I had not expected from a written document. Case Study 01 · Heirloom Cataloguing
An Unrecorded Collection, Made Legible
The Situation
A Bangkok family inherited a large property containing furniture, artwork, and personal items accumulated over three generations. Nothing was labelled or documented, and relatives in different cities were uncertain what existed and where.
What We Did
James spent two full days on-site, cataloguing 280 individual items across twelve rooms. Each item was photographed, described, and given a provenance note based on family input. The inventory was organised by room and by category.
The Outcome
A 90-page inventory document, delivered in PDF and printed form. All five family members received copies. The family reported that having a clear reference made subsequent conversations about the property significantly easier to conduct.

Case Study 02 · Family Meeting Facilitation
A Long-Standing Conversation, Finally Held
The Situation
Three adult children of an elderly father had been avoiding a conversation about future care arrangements and the family home for over two years. Previous informal discussions had not gone well, and two siblings were not on comfortable speaking terms.
What We Did
Niramai held separate preparation calls with each sibling before the meeting to understand each person's concerns. A structured agenda was circulated and the meeting was facilitated over three hours at a neutral location in Bangkok. Notes were taken and shared the following day.
The Outcome
The family did not resolve everything in one session — nor did they expect to. However, all three siblings agreed that the meeting notes reflected the conversation accurately, and they used them as a basis for a follow-up meeting three weeks later without a facilitator.

Case Study 03 · Legacy Storytelling
Three Sessions, One Account Worth Keeping
The Situation
A family wanted to capture the life story of their 84-year-old matriarch, who had grown up in Chiang Rai and moved to Bangkok in the 1960s. She had many stories but no written account of her life existed. Her health was stable but family members were aware of not leaving this too long.
What We Did
Three sessions were arranged, each ninety minutes, spread over six weeks to allow rest between conversations. The sessions were conducted in Thai. An audio recording was made at the family's request. The written account was drafted from both the recording and the facilitator's notes.
The Outcome
A 38-page written account, in Thai and English, covering eight decades of lived experience. Seven printed copies were produced for family members in Bangkok and Chiang Rai. The family also received the audio recordings on a USB drive.
